Essex County, NJ – Clara Maass Medical Center’s JerseyCare Home Health, an affiliate of Barnabas Health, has been named one of the 2011 HomeCare Elite™ by OCS HomeCare and DecisionHealth®. JerseyCare, which offers home health care services to residents of Essex County, was the only home health care agency in the County to receive the honor.
According to OCS Home Care, HomeCare Elite™ highlights the top 25 percent of home health care agencies nationwide and has become the industry standard for recognizing organizational performance. Publicly reported data from Home Health Compare and CMS Cost Reports are used to evaluate agency performance in three domains – quality of care, process measure implementation and financial performance. The three domains were combined into one overall score, with the greatest importance being placed on quality of care.
JerseyCare is one of four home health care agencies affiliated with Barnabas Health. This includes Medical Center Health Care Services, in West Orange, and Community Medical Center Home Health and Community Kare, both located in Toms River. Together the agencies, which are fully-accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), serve more than 13,000 individuals each year in Essex, Morris, Monmouth, Ocean and Union Counties.
